Delivery

How much does delivery cost?

We offer free standard delivery on all orders across the United Kingdom. No minimum spend required.

How long does delivery take?

Most items are dispatched within 1–3 business days. Standard delivery typically arrives within 3–7 business days after dispatch. Larger or made-to-order items may take up to 10–14 business days — this will be noted on the product page.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

At present, we only deliver within the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). We are working on expanding our delivery options to Europe and beyond.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number and link so you can follow your parcel every step of the way.

What happens if I'm not home when my order arrives?

Our delivery partners will attempt to leave the parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour. You will receive a card through your letterbox with instructions on how to collect or rearrange delivery.

Returns & Refunds

What is your returns policy?

We offer a 14-day returns policy. If you're not completely happy with your purchase, you can return it within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resalable condition.

How do I return an item?

Simply contact our team via the Contact page or WhatsApp with your order number. We'll provide you with a returns authorisation and instructions. Please do not send items back without contacting us first.

How long do refunds take?

Once we receive and inspect your return, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days. The refund will be credited to your original payment method.

Can I exchange an item?

Yes. If you'd like a different style, size or finish, contact us and we'll arrange an exchange subject to availability.

Products & Specifications

What type of bulbs do your lights use?

Most of our fixtures use standard E14 (small Edison screw) or E27 (large Edison screw) bulbs. Some models use G9 or integrated LED. The specific bulb type is listed in the product description under Technical Specifications. Bulbs are not included unless otherwise stated — we recommend LED bulbs for energy efficiency and longevity.

Are your lights dimmable?

Many of our lights are compatible with dimmer switches when used with dimmable bulbs. Check the product page for dimmable compatibility. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll advise.

What materials are your lights made from?

We use a range of premium materials including crystal, brushed brass, matt black iron, chrome, glass and fabric shades. Each product page details the specific materials used.

How do I know what size light fitting I need?

As a general guide:

  • Dining tables: Choose a fixture that is roughly two-thirds the width of your table.
  • Living rooms: Add the room's length and width in metres, then multiply by 5 — this gives you an approximate diameter in centimetres.
  • Hallways & staircases: Consider the ceiling height and choose a fixture that hangs at least 2 metres from the floor.

Installation

Do your lights require professional installation?

We always recommend that light fixtures are installed by a qualified electrician, particularly chandeliers and heavier fittings. This ensures safety and compliance with UK wiring regulations (BS 7671).

Do you offer installation services?

We do not currently offer installation services directly. However, we recommend finding a local electrician through Checkatrade, Trusted Traders or NICEIC approved contractors.

What ceiling types are your lights compatible with?

Our lights are designed for standard UK ceiling installations. If you have a sloped ceiling, many of our pendants and chandeliers include adjustable ceiling plates or can be fitted with a sloped ceiling adapter. Check the product specifications or ask us.

Orders & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and PayPal. All transactions are processed through Shopify's secure checkout.

Is my payment information secure?

Absolutely. Our checkout is protected by SSL encryption and all payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments. We never store your card details.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

If your order has not yet been dispatched, we can usually accommodate changes or cancellations. Please contact us as soon as possible via our contact page or WhatsApp.

Do you offer discount codes?

Yes! Sign up to our newsletter to receive an exclusive discount on your first order. We also run seasonal promotions — follow us on social media to stay updated.

Warranty & Care

Do your products come with a warranty?

All Litora products come with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

How do I care for my chandelier or light fixture?

For crystal and glass fixtures, we recommend dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a damp microfibre cloth — avoid harsh chemicals. Brass and metal finishes can be wiped with a soft cloth. Always switch off and allow bulbs to cool before cleaning.
